Nestled in the charming village of Loix on the Île de Ré, the Domaine des Tours offers a serene escape amid natural beauty and historic charm. This 16th-century wine estate, lovingly restored over the past two years, combines modern comfort with beautiful old stone. Upon entering the estate, you will be welcomed by an enchanting inner courtyard, shaded by century-old lime trees, inviting you to relax and soak in the atmosphere.
Upon entering, the main house reveals its spacious and beautifully appointed interiors, having been carefully restored to preserve original features. The open-plan kitchen is a cook's dream, with a breakfast bar, dining table and all the modern appliances you could need. The living room includes a fireplace corner, two large sofas and an audio system, perfect for relaxed evenings.
The main house offers five bedrooms, each designed for comfort and style. Four of them are spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms: three with king-size beds and one with a queen-size bed. The fifth bedroom has a folding double bed, ideal for additional guests.
A few steps from the main house, the annex offers additional accommodation with two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two single beds. The annex also has its own open-plan kitchen, a spacious lounge with fireplace and a dining area.
The property extends over more than 1.7 hectares, with private parking, a tennis court, a sauna, 6 adult bicycles (adults only) and an orchard stocked with fig trees, pear trees and plum trees.
The Domain of Tours is located near salt marshes and meadows, with no immediate neighbours and the port of Loix just 300 metres away. There is a very convenient cycle path located right in front of the house. Guests can enjoy walks directly from the house into the countryside and explore the nearby beaches.
