Known as the oldest port on the Ile de R\u00e9, with its construction in the 16th century, it is also the first port visible when arriving on the island. It took more than 300 years before a dike was added to protect boats from the swell. It was from this moment that maritime trade developed and the inhabitants had less restrictive access to the continent. Today, the port still welcomes yachtsmen and allows visitors to have an exceptional view of the bridge and the Pertuis Breton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
