Hidden treasure of the Ile de R\u00e9, it is assumed that the vines have existed since the Middle Ages. After a halt in wine production in the 19th century following a bacterium contaminating all the vineyards of France, the estate had to be rebuilt. Today, there are 550 hectares of vines on the \u00cele de R\u00e9 cultivated by various winegrowers. We will focus in particular on the only two independent vineyards on the island. Jean Philippe and Elisabeth, owners of this estate, started operations in 2009 with seven hectares of vines. Very quickly, their land grew, increasing to forty hectares throughout the territory. From Rivedoux to Loix, the Rhetais territory is exploited by the vines of the Domaine Pelletier. Former members of the Cooperative, the owners have decided to break away from it to follow their ideology of the vine. Indeed, they want to discover a different wine oriented towards biodiversity by preserving their vines from pesticides. These will pass through the expert hands of the Cellar Master who will give them a special identity. From white wine to red wine via cognac, you will find a wide range of grape varieties. For the white, you will have: Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Colombard and Viognier. For the red, you will find: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, N\u00e9grette and Pinot Noir. Finally, as far as Cognac is concerned, Ugni blanc will be presented. In order to discover them both visually and in terms of taste, the Domaine Pelletier opens its doors to visitors who can leave with a souvenir of their tasting if they wish! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, Marine and Simon fell in love with this little corner of paradise which he decided to name \u201cDomaine Arica\u201d. In the center of the Ile de R\u00e9 and surrounded by the sea, the landscape is most authentic! The estate stretches over 10 hectares, including 6.5 hectares for white grape varieties (Chardonnay, Cheni, Sauvignon) and 3.5 hectares for red grape varieties (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon). Very committed to environmental protection, the products used are natural as well as their working methods which are largely manual. All his efforts to preserve this environment have led to the AB certification of the vineyard and the wines.
