The Lilleau des Niges nature reserve, located north of the Île de Ré is a real corner of paradise where you can recharge your batteries in the heart of 121 hectares of nature. You will observe the diversity of the island’s fauna and flora through outdoor walks, guided tours, or thanks to the museum space of the Maison du Fier. Indeed, the nature reserve hosts more than 300 different species per year and is one of the most important wintering sites in France. The surroundings of the reserve are freely accessible and free of charge. La Maison du Fier opens every morning and afternoon from early July to early October except Saturday mornings, every afternoon during the All Saints holidays, and every day (with lunch break) except Saturdays and Sunday mornings in April, May and June. The visit to the Maison de la Réserve is chargeable, at the price of 4 euros full price and 3 euros reduced price.
